Page industries, the indian manufacturer of the Jockey brand, is set to invest around Rs 290 crore to set up two new factories in Telangana. 7000 local youths will be provided employment through these two factories. In these factories, not only garment production, but also sportswear and athleisure garments of other brands under Page industries will be produced, telangana State industries and Information technology Minister KT Rama Rao said.In a tweet posted by KT Rama Rao, the popular underwear brand Jockey (Page Industries) is set to set up garment factories in Ibrahimpatnam and Tulku to produce 1 crore garments. Also, happy to share that around 7,000 jobs will be created in the factory in Ibrahimpatnam and Tulku. KT Rama Rao tweeted that he is reaching.Page Industries' factory at Ibrahimpatnam is built by Whitegold Spintex Park. The factory will be a plug-and-play facility of 1.5 lakh sq ft. Once completed, the factory will be leased to Page industries and will employ 3,000 people in the factory alone.Page industries is planning to set up its own factory on an area of about 25 acres in Maluku (Sidthipet). According to the Minister's Office, around 4,000 people will be employed through this factory. Page industries, which has been listed on the mumbai Stock Exchange since 2007, already has factories in Bangalore, Hassan, Mysore, Gauribidanur, Tiptur, and Tirupur, and now 2 new factories are to be set up in Telangana. Page industries has a factory in Tirupur, the textile city of tamil Nadu.
