Veteran comedian who predominantly was seen in tamil movies breathed his last in the early hours today. The actor suffered serious cardiac arrest and died said the doctors that offered him treatment. vivek is currently 59 years old and is still active in movies.

He acted in more than 220 films till date. The actor took his last breath at 4:35 AM on saturday according to the doctors that attended him. According to doctors, the actor had a 100% blockage in the LAD (left anterior descending artery) vessel which led to a massive cardiac arrest.

The actor was admitted to the hospital on friday and tamil Nadu health Secretary J Radhakrishnan said at a press meet that the cause of the cardiac arrest was unlikely to be the COVID-19 vaccine that vivek had taken on Thursday.

Coming to the work front, vivek was introduced to movies by popular director k balachander who introduced many big faces to the industry. He rose to fame with his one-liners in movies. He used to appear as a friend to the hero in the films. The punch lines that he used to say grabbed the attention of the moviegoers. He was also referred as ‘Chinna Kalaivaanar’ and has received several awards and was also conferred with Padma Shri.
