
The fundamental cause for the cessation of services, contrary to Trujet's assertion, is rising losses. According to data released by Parliament, TruJet made an operating loss of Rs 143 crore in fiscal year 2021, compared to Rs 10.1 crore in fiscal year 2020 and Rs 17.56 crore in fiscal year 2019. Trujet's CEO, CFO, and CCO departed last year, but a new CFO was recently appointed, and according to media sources, the carrier has not paid full salaries to its employees for the past few months.
Trujet entered the indian aviation market as part of the UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme. The indian government granted subsidies to airlines in order to encourage the average man to travel. However, as UDAN's subsidies ended, regional airlines struggled to stay afloat, and the pandemic made matters worse.
