Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is racing home after outperforming its predecessor at the box office, as Paramount reveals its streaming and Blu-ray release dates. The 2022 film, based on SEGA's popular video game franchise, picks up eight months after the events of its predecessor, as Sonic struggles to prove his value as a hero on Earth, despite making numerous mistakes. Sonic is once again pitted against the wicked Dr. Robotnik when he returns to Earth with the support of Knuckles the Echidna in their joint pursuit for the master Emerald when tom and Maddie travel to Hawaii for her sister's wedding.

With Jim Carrey as Robotnik, james Marsden as tom, Tika Sumpter as Maddie, natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Lee Madjoub, Ben Schwartz returns to lead the cast of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Shemar Moore, Idris Elba as Knuckles, and Colleen O'Shaughnessey's Miles "Tails" Prower made their franchise debuts in this film, following a brief appearance in the first film's post-credits scene. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was released in theatres in april to positive reviews from reviewers and audiences alike, and now fans of the video game sequel will be able to revisit it.

Paramount has revealed the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 streaming and Blu-ray release dates, about two months after the film was released in theatres. On Tuesday, May 24, the video game adaption sequel will premiere on Paramount+ and will be available to rent or buy on wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital platforms the same day. On august 9, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released on 4K Ultra-HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, featuring nearly an hour of bonus content.
