The much awaited film, directed by acclaimed telugu director Vamshi Paidipally, is simultaneously being released in tamil and Telugu. The movie Varisu, in which Thalapathy Vijay is said to play the title character, is described as a complete comedy that centres around a prominent business family's heir. The most recent sources indicate that the creators are now preparing a large audio debut event.

The audio launch event for Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu will take place this year on december 24 in chennai, if the most recent rumours are to be believed. The most recent information indicate that the audio launch ceremony would be a big occasion attended by the project's cast and crew as well as several well-known figures from the tamil and telugu cinema industries. A select group of Thalalapathy Vijay fans and general audiences may also be given the opportunity to attend the audio launch event for the Vamshi Paidipally directed movie in addition to the professionals of the industry.
