Presently on the work front, after 'Japan', karthi has signed up for a yet to be titled film with director Nalan Kumarasamy and the shooting for the film is underway. He is also said to collaborate with director lokesh kanagaraj for 'Kaithi 2'.
Actor karthi was last seen in 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' and he is now gearing up for the release of his next film 'Japan' which is set for its release on diwali this year. The movie marks the 25th film of the actor and it is directed by Raju Murugan. The movie makers on sunday launched the trailer of the film at the trailer and audio launch event which was held in a grand manner in Chennai.
