Hombale Films’ Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire stars prabhas along with prithviraj Sukumaran, shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. Made under the direction of Prashanth Neel, the film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur. Salaar has a duration of 2 hours and 55 minutes and was given an ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. The movie has several bloody combat scenes, violence, and battle scenes.

The film received mixed reviews from all. Reports review of Salaar reads, “The problem with a film like Salaar is that it focuses too much on the aesthetics and neglects the storyline. The film veers erratically back and forth between the past and present. I got a little lost in the movie way too soon because of the disorganized writing, characters that were introduced faster than a meteoroid colliding with Earth, and a plot that only really started up after the intermission.”

Its success is attributed to the star power of prabhas and the multi-language release, including Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and tamil dubs, making it a hit across india and overseas. Salaar’s production team, Hombale Films, announced on the opening day that the movie had minted a global gross of Rs 175 crore. As the largest opening indian film of the year, Salaar has received positive reviews, setting the stage for strong word-of-mouth promotion and the potential for exceptional performance during the festive christmas season. The film had an overall 73.64% telugu Occupancy on sunday with hyderabad occupancy at 89.25%.
