Five years after the release of Kalank, The Academy shared a clip of the film's song Ghar More Pardesiya, featuring alia bhatt, and shouted out to it.

 'Kalank' may have bombed at the box office but this ensemble period romance starring alia bhatt, varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, madhuri Dixit, and Sanjay Dutt has achieved recognition from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Five years after the release of the film, The Academy shared a clip of the film's song Ghar More Pardesiya, featuring alia bhatt, and gave a shout-out to it.

Taking to their official instagram handle, The Academy shared the song with the caption, "Alia Bhatt performing ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’ (vocals by shreya ghoshal with Vaishali Mhade) from the film ‘Kalank.’ Directed by abhishek Varman. Starring varun Dhawan, alia bhatt, madhuri Dixit, sanjay dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. Song composed by Pritam Chakraborty. Lyrics by amitabh Bhattacharya.”

Soon after the song was shared by the Academy, fans flooded the comments section with excitement, Many lauded Alia Bhatt's dancing skills as the actor took up kathak training for the song. A user wrote, "Alia Bhatt's performance has been spectacular in every movie she's done.”
