Telugu actor mahesh babu wrote to Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials that he might not be able to attend the scheduled inquiry these days.


In a letter to the ED, the actor mentioned non-public motives for his absence. mahesh babu became summoned for questioning in connection with ongoing research into the Sai surya developers case.


The ED's investigation stems from its scrutiny of several Hyderabad-based real property firms, inclusive of Sai surya Developers and the Surana Institution, which might be accused of fraudulent activities. The actor is under investigation for promoting those arguably real estate projects, which allegedly duped homebuyers through false promises and unlawful transactions.


Babu came on the ED's radar for selling controversial real estate initiatives and reportedly received Rs 5.9 crore for his promotional work, which included Rs 3.9 crore via checks and Rs 2 crore in cash. The ED has issued notices to mahesh babu regarding the cash he obtained for these promotions.


The case centers around fraudulent activities by the promoters of those actual property companies, who are accused of promoting unauthorized plots of land, accepting payments without proper agreements, and failing to supply on promises made to investors. Simply days ago, the ED's hyderabad Zonal office conducted raids at a couple of locations in hyderabad and Secunderabad, uncovering incriminating documents and unaccounted cash transactions amounting to around Rs one hundred crore.


This investigation follows a couple of FIRs filed by way of telangana Police towards key figures within the case, including narendra Surana, director of Bhagyanagar Homes Confined, and K. sathish Chandra, owner of Sai surya Developers.
