Okay People ! Just be careful from now on. If you don't wear Helmet, you will be denied fuel in City Petrol pumps. The No Helmet, No Fuel rule has been approved in principle by the police, transport and traffic departments for implementation in Hyderabad.

Two-Wheeler riders without helmets will be denied fuel in all petrol pumps. This rule is implemented in Adilabad district in Telangana since June 2nd under Motor Spirit and High Speed Diesel Oil (Licensing and Control) Act. Of course, this rule is applicable to all states.

Fuel stations can deny petrol, diesel and oil under Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act. City Traffic department is slowly studying the effects of the rule in Adilabad. The traffic police feels this will bring necessary change.

This rule will be brought into action by this month end. DCP (South) traffic, and convener of the committee Mr A.V. Ranganath said, "A committee is formed and we are analyzing how effective this rule would be. After feedback from Hyderabad Traffic polie, we will have a meeting with collector and Fuel station owners."
