According to tdp general secretary Nara lokesh, the 2024 assembly elections would be a battle between the impoverished who are desperately trying to feed themselves and the crorepati and current chief minister, jagan Mohan Reddy. During his yuva Galam pada yatra, lokesh spoke to a sizable crowd of people in the atmakur of the srisailam assembly seat. He questioned how jagan could claim to be impoverished when he owns properties worth lakhs of crores, including enormous structures in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Tadepalli.

Therefore, lokesh said, the upcoming assembly elections would be between this multi-millionaire and the underprivileged.
The tdp national general secretary said that the tdp has always been concerned with addressing welfare issues while the YSRCP is renowned for corruption. He added that NT Rama Rao, the founder of the tdp, provided welfare to the country when jagan was a little child. The tdp, he noted, "established several welfare programs like Rs 2 a kg rice, electricity supply at substantially discounted rates, pension for those who reach the age of 65, Janatha Clothes, and pucca dwellings. lokesh said that jagan had no moral standing to discuss welfare and development because he was providing the needy just Rs. 10 while pocketing Rs. 100 in the other.

He said that jagan has done nothing for the State in these four years, claiming that NT Rama Rao was responsible for turning rayalaseema into a rich area by taking efforts to supply the region with water from the krishna river. Making it obvious that being dreaded is not in his resume, he remarked, "Even the GO 1 which was brought in only to create obstacles to my pada yatra has been quashed by the High Court."
