NTR's daughter Daggubati Purandeswari is fondly called as Chinnamma by many and also BJP's leader Sushma Swaraj called herself as Chinnamma when the Telangana bill was passed in Lok Sabha. It looks like both are about to join hands with each other.
There are reports that Purandeswari and her husband Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao are all set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. They will be taking a formal plunge in the presence of senior party leaders Sushma and Advani in Delhi on Friday.
This information was reportedly revealed by their supporters in Visakhapatnam. Purandeswari, the daughter of former AP CM and TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao, is currently a Lok Sabha MP from Visakhapatnam.
She took a plunge into the Congress before 2004 elections and was elected for the first term from Bapatla and worked as union minister of state for HRD till 2009. Later she got elected from Vizag but now she has resigned from Congress protesting against the manner in which AP bifurcation was done.
