The ruling party of andhra pradesh, congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress Party(YCP) is gearing up to raise the krishna water dispute and State Special Status grant issues in the upcoming Monsoon session of Parliament. The ycp will also make demands regarding the implementation of promises made to the State under the ap Reorganisation Act during the bifurcation.

AP chief minister YS jagan Mohan reddy held a meeting, ahead of the parliament session which begins on July 19,  with his party MPs to discuss the strategy and issues to be raised.

After the meeting ycp parliamentary leader Vijayasai reddy said they would raise the issue of krishna water dispute with telangana which is depriving ap of its water share needed for irrigation and drinking purpose. The rajya sabha mp also said that ycp is strongly opposing the privatization of Visakhapatnam steel plant.  He asserted that ycp would not compromise on Special status issue.

Vijayasai further added that they will ask the Centre to approve the revised cost estimates of the polavaram project and clear the pending dues related to it.

YCP mp P Midhun reddy said they will request the Centre to approve the Disha Bill passed by the state assembly for enhancing the safety and security of women and Children.
