Rajasthan: chiranjeevi health insurance scheme became free…


Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot has announced to extend the scope of free registration to all EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) under MukhyamantriChiranjeevi health Insurance Scheme. He has said that people with an annual income of less than eight lakh rupees will not have to pay the premium of the chiranjeevi health Insurance Scheme. The chief minister inaugurated the organ donation campaign fortnight at his residence on Thursday. He released its poster. On this occasion, he said that this campaign has been started to develop the spirit of organ donation without hesitation among the common people.

Who will not have to pay premium?

The premium amount will be paid by the state government for families with income less than eight lakh rupees of all classes including general, other backward classes, extremely backward classes, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. Gehlot made this announcement on thursday during a program at the Chief Minister's residence. He said that the state government has made an additional provision of Rs 425 crore for this. Online foundation stone laying and inauguration of 249 works worth Rs 771 crore were done in the programme.

Organ transplant is also being done free of cost - The chief minister inaugurated Organ Donation Campaign fortnight in the program and released its poster. He said that this campaign has been started to develop the spirit of organ donation without hesitation among the common people. Precious lives of people can be saved by creating a positive environment for organ donation. The chief minister said that under the ChiranjeeviYojana, expensive treatments like organ transplant have also been made free in the state. The residents of the state who go outside the state for organ transplant are also taking advantage of this. During this, the chief minister made the people present take a pledge to donate organs. The chief minister also flagged off 10 chiranjeevi Janani Express ambulances and 25 mobile food testing ambulances on the occasion.
