Hyderabad's ongoing Ganesh processions, which resumed on Friday, have caused gridlock in numerous areas of the city. Traffic congestion is also being caused by vehicles coming back from the Ganesh immersion. Heavy traffic is seen in the regions close to Tankbund, while other locations including Moazzam Jahi Market, Abids, Nampally, Narayanguda, Basheerbagh, and Khairatabad are also experiencing traffic congestion.

Morning traffic from Sangeet X Roads, St. John's Rotary, North Zone, YMCA, and SBH X Roads into paradise X Roads was delayed due to empty automobiles. Ganesh immersion processions resumed today because just 40% of the idols had been submerged as of last night at 9 p.m.

So far, the parade has not been marred by any undesirable occurrences. The Ganesh procession started on thursday morning, and the idol immersion is happening in hundreds of lakes and ponds around the city, including Hussain Sagar Lake in the center of Hyderabad.


More than 40,000 police officers were stationed in hyderabad for the immersion, including the major procession that marched through the sensitively divided ancient city, in order to preserve calm and security. around hyderabad, especially around the Old City, extensive security precautions were undertaken because the Ganesh procession fell on Milad-un-Nabi.
