The second phase of voting has started in chhattisgarh on friday (17 November). Voting is being held on 70
seats in the state. In this second phase, 18,800 polling stations have been set up for voting on 70 seats. In the
second phase, the public will decide the fate of 958 candidates in EVMs. In the second phase, maximum
number of 26 candidates are in the fray from raipur West assembly and least number of four candidates are
from Daundi Lohara. In the second phase of elections in the state, the credibility of many leaders including
CM Bhupesh Baghel, deputy cm TS Singh Dev is also at stake.
Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel is contesting from Patan assembly seat of the state. There is a triangular
contest between congress, bjp and Janata congress chhattisgarh on Patan assembly seat. While cm Baghel
is contesting the elections from congress, bjp has fielded his nephew Vijay Baghel from here. amit Jogi, son
of former cm of the state Ajit Jogi, is contesting elections from Janata congress Chhattisgarh. If we talk
about other big seats, then Ambikapur, raipur City South, korba, Sakti, Durg Rural and Lormi assembly seats
are there. State deputy cm TS Singhdev is contesting from Ambikapur seat. Whereas bjp has fielded former
Congress leader Rajesh Aggarwal from here. TS Singhdev has been winning from Ambikapur seat
continuously since 2008.
Brijmohan Agarwal is in the electoral fray from raipur City South.
Talking about Sakti assembly seat, bjp has fielded Khilavan Sahu against Congress's Charan Das Manhat.
Charan Das Mahanhat is currently the speaker of the assembly. Charan Das Manhat has also been a three-time
MLA and three-time mp from this seat. Former state home minister Brijmohan Agarwal is in the election fray
from bjp from raipur city south. Whereas congress has fielded Mahant Sunder Das from here. bjp state
president Arun Sao is contesting from Lormi assembly seat. Thaneshwar Sahu of congress is in the election
field in front of him. Talking about korba assembly, congress has fielded Revenue minister Jai Singh
Agarwal, a minister in the state government, from this seat. Lakhanlal Dewangan is contesting from this seat
on behalf of BJP.
Union minister and mp Renuka Singh is contesting from Bharatpur Sohant seat. Whereas congress has
fielded Gulab Singh Kamro from here. Let us tell you that in the second phase, voting has started from 8 am
in the morning, which will continue till 5 pm. It is noteworthy that the first phase of voting in Chhattisgarh
was held on november 7. chhattisgarh election results will be announced on december 3.
