Harshal Lele, who lost his father and two close relatives in the pahalgam terrorist attack, has expressed satisfaction after the indian armed forces carried out 'Operation Sindoor' against terrorist hideouts in pakistan late on tuesday night. Lele said, "I am satisfied, my late father must have found peace now."
On april 22, terrorists shot his father and two close relatives in front of Lele's eyes. He recalled, "One of my relatives pleaded with the terrorists to leave him, but he was shot. No mercy was shown to him, my other relative or my father."
He told reporters in Dombivali in thane district, "I am happy with the way Operation Sindoor was carried out. Nine places from where terrorists were running their activities were attacked. We expect more such actions." Harshal's father Sanjay Lele and his relatives Atul Mone and hemant Joshi were among the 26 people who lost their lives in the terror attack on april 22.
Atul Mone's wife Anushka Mone said that while they know their loss is irreparable, Wednesday's retaliation was significant. "Those we have lost will never come back. But this action and befitting reply by the army is a true tribute to their sacrifice. The terrorists did not just attack individuals, they attacked the soul of India. And india has shown them their place," she told reporters. She also said that 'Operation Sindoor' should not be politicised. Mone said, "It is a matter of national security and honour. Operation Sindoor is above politics. It is about justice, not about elections. "This was the justice we were expecting," said Jayant Bhave, a relative. Subodh Patil (60), a Navi mumbai resident who was injured during the pahalgam attack, also expressed satisfaction. "I cannot say much, but I will say it is good that india took revenge," he said. He said it was a tribute to the innocent people killed in the terror attack.
