Back then, children were considered wealthy! The more children you have, the more assets you have. But now the times have completely changed. There are situations where you cannot have more than one child. Now, in addition to educating children, the costs of other activities have increased. At this time, an interesting survey report has come to the fore. Yes... The latest report released by the United Nations population Fund (UNFPA), which works on reproductive rights, expressed concern over the decline in fertility and said that millions of people are not able to have the number of children they want. At the same time, the organization also cited the fact that becoming a parent is very expensive these days, and some people lack a suitable partner.
The UNFPA survey surveyed 14,000 people in 14 countries on fertility thoughts. In this survey, one in five people said that they were not able to have as many children as they wanted. In addition to India, the survey was conducted in the United States, South Korea, Hungary, Germany, Thailand, Italy, Mexico, Sweden, Brazil, Indonesia, Morocco, South Africa, and Nigeria. The survey included young people as well as those who have already passed the reproductive age. Responding on this occasion, UNFPA Chief Dr. Natalia Kanem said that the world has entered a phase of declining fertility like never before. It was revealed that most of the participants in this survey want at least two or more children.
However, they said that fertility is falling significantly because they don't have the opportunity to have the family they want. Overall, 39 percent of people across all countries said that financial constraints were preventing them from having children. This was highest in Korea (58 percent), followed by spain (19 percent).
