US President
donald trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a high-stakes meeting in Alaska. The purpose of this meeting was to find ways to end the Russia-Ukraine war. A special incident happened before the meeting - America's First Lady Melania
trump wrote a
letter for Putin, which President
trump handed over to her with his own hands.
Melania Trump's 'peace letter'
This
letter was first reported by Fox
news Digital. When
trump handed this
letter to Putin, he immediately
read it and all the delegations present in the meeting witnessed this moment. In the
letter, Melania wrote - "Every child has the same dreams in his
heart - whether he is born in a
village or in a big city. They dream of love, possibilities and protection from dangers."
She further said that like parents, leaders also have the responsibility to keep the hopes of the next generation alive. She wrote- “We have to create a world full of dignity, where every soul can live in peace and the future is secure. Every new generation begins with innocence, which is above any geography,
government or ideology.”
In the
letter, Melania also wrote that in today's world many children smile silently, as if they are maintaining their innocence even in the midst of darkness. She appealed to Putin-
“You can return the laughter of these children. By protecting their innocence, you will serve not only
russia but the entire humanity.” “This
idea is beyond all human limits. And you, Putin, can make this dream come true with a stroke of the pen. The time has come.”
Reaction of US Attorney General
US Attorney General Pam Bondi, while sharing this
letter, said that Melania
trump is speaking on behalf of every American. She said, “This
letter demands a world where every child, no matter where he is born, can live in peace.”
Results of the meeting between
trump and Putin
After the meeting, President
trump called it “extremely productive”. However, he made it clear that the Russia-Ukraine
war is unlikely to end immediately.
trump said, "We are moving in the right direction, but we haven't reached there yet."
Zelensky's visit to Washington
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to arrive in Washington on Monday. His meeting with President
trump is scheduled and it is believed that options to end the
war will be discussed in this meeting too.
