Avantika Vandanapu, a telugu actress, has garnered significant recognition through her roles in hollywood movies, such as "Spin" and "Mean Girls," despite her limited appearances in telugu cinema. Her American english accent, particularly showcased in the song "Ammadu," further contributed to her popularity. However, some of her promotional interviews received negative attention, leading to trolling on social media, primarily from indian audiences.

In response, Avantika clarified that her ability to switch between American english at school and indian english at home is a common practice known as code-switching. She emphasized that her language preference comes naturally and urged against unnecessary trolling, highlighting the need to appreciate her achievements as a telugu girl succeeding in Hollywood. Avantika, who began her career as a child actress in telugu films like "Brahmotsavam" and "Premam," previously expressed a preference for English-language films but has now expressed a desire to pursue roles as a heroine in telugu and hindi cinema.

She also noted the absence of nepotism in the American entertainment industry, emphasizing opportunities based on talent rather than familial connections. This shift in focus toward telugu cinema reflects her evolving career aspirations and highlights her determination to explore diverse acting opportunities across different languages and industries.
