When is the IPL mega auction?

It has been reported that the mega auction for the IPL series will be held in february next year. The auction will be held in Bangalore on february 7th and 8th next year, a senior bcci official said. This mega auction is scheduled to take place over two days.
He said preparations were underway and if the same situation persists without increasing the spread of the corona, the auction will be held in India, otherwise, it is likely to take place in the United Arab Emirates.
A total of 10 teams are expected to participate in the auction this time. New teams from lucknow and Ahmedabad, including defending champions chennai Super Kings, are also expected to participate in the auction to select players for their respective teams. this may be the last mega auction by BCCI.
However, with the emergence of the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 and rises in the cases, the situation will remain the same. But if there are restrictions or guidelines with regards to foreign countries (unless all owners decide to use their charter planes), conducting it in our country will be less of a logistical nightmare.
