bsnl to build 1.12 lakh 4G towers across the country; Announcement of the minister of Telecommunications

bsnl, India's state-owned telecom network, is now ready to build its network across the country. bsnl has entered into an agreement worth Rs 550 crore with Tata Consultancy services (TCS). Under the agreement, it will build around 6,000 towers in various parts of india and provide 4G services to its customers, Telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnav told the Lok Sabha.


bsnl aims to build around 1 lakh 12 thousand towers across india and tcs has been given the task of erecting 6000 towers in the first phase and will spend Rs 550 crore in this phase, he said.He also said that a 5g network will be made available while traveling by train. She said that this facility will be provided in trains with a speed of 100 kmph.

Speaking further in the Lok Sabha, she said, "I am happy to announce that a full-fledged Indian-made telecom network, built under the supervision of indian scientists and engineers, will soon be at our service." Speaking further, she said that in the first phase, 6000 towers will be successfully constructed and in the next phase, 6000 towers will be constructed at a rate of 1 lakh towers. technology will also be developed in parallel to establish a 5g network.

Meanwhile, 1 lakh towers will be constructed in the next three years at a cost of Rs 12,610 crore, he said.
