A 22 year old girl started an aviation based startup. Today at the age of 32, that girl has 10 private jets. Does this sound like a dream come true? Although there were many challenges in front of her in the way of achieving this success, but she faced every challenge firmly.

It's called the uber of the sky

We are talking here about kanika Tekriwal, the founder of JetsetGo. JetsetGo is a plane aggregator startup that enables people to operate, manage and fly chartered planes and helicopters. It is also called the uber of the indian skies. JetsetGo's journey started in 2012 with an aim to make private flying more accessible, transparent, economical and efficient for all.

had to fight cancer

Kanika says, “This idea was running in my mind for almost three years, but when I took out my sketch board and started working on it, it came to know that I have cancer. It put me back a year. The good thing for me is that no one else in our country had started anything like this. Even till the end of my treatment, no such startup was started in our country, till now my only business like this.

What is JetSetGo

These startups are now at the forefront of air taxis with intra-city connectivity in india using electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft. It uses a mix of technology, unique maintenance procedures and smart management. These are all developed by JetSetGo's proprietary properties.

This, in turn, helps reduce maintenance costs, increases airtime, reduces ground time, thereby ensuring profitability. In fact, it has also brought down the cost of chartered planes to a great extent, making the facility more easily available to the passengers.

This is how the idea of starting a startup came

Kanika is very disappointed when she learns that the privately chartered planes industry is full of touts and operators. After that she decided to change it. She says that anyone who wants to use a private jet has to approach a broker or private operator for a jet or helicopter. In such a situation, they take a lot of commission without taking into account the requirements of the customer.

Kanika says, “Due to lack of transparency and non-availability of charter planes, the customer has to pay an arbitrary amount. Similarly, if the customer contacts an operator, they can only use an aircraft operated by that operator."

After working behind the scenes for about 20 months, kanika launched Jetset Go for private jet and helicopter charters. Please tell that kanika Tekriwal is an MBA graduate. He started his company with his friend Sudhir Perla. Born in a conservative Marwari family, his father used to do real estate and chemicals business. Kanika's boarding schooling took place in South India. She later moved to mumbai to pursue her graduation in economics and a diploma in design.
