A day after the telangana state government, led by newly elected chief minister A revanth reddy, issued orders removing all seven BRS-appointed advisors, another government order was issued canceling some appointments and rescinding extensions granted to some state committee chairpersons and vice-chairpersons.

The government of telangana announced in government order 1624, published on Sunday, december 10, that "Personnel engaged on contract/outsourcing/hire basis, etc., in the personal staff of said Chairpersons/ Members shall be terminated forthwith." government personnel enlisted as personal staff in their offices as PA/ PS/ OSD, etc., must be returned immediately." Before becoming cm, revanth reddy repeatedly targeted these officials for allegedly conspiring with the BRS regime to "cause severe financial loss to the state exchequer."

Former telangana chief secretary Somesh Kumar has been appointed as telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's top advisor following his voluntary resignation from the andhra pradesh government. He has been appointed to the cabinet as a Minister. Somesh Kumar resigned as an andhra pradesh government senior IAS official in february after the telangana high court ordered him to return to the state following the state's split. The high court ruled that chief secretary Somesh Kumar should be assigned to the andhra pradesh cadre rather than the telangana cadre.
