There have been many ups and downs in Odisha's political events lately. The idea of a pre-poll coalition between the bharatiya janata party (BJP) and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) emerged in the beginning of March. However, the parties were unable to break the impasse over seat-sharing. The 2024 "Kalinga War" is about to break out in the electoral arena, and war rooms are already coming to life with plans for the front lines. Following their announcements that they will run independently for all 21 lok sabha seats and all 147 assembly seats in the concurrent elections, both parties are now putting their firepower into action.

There was a rush of activity in both camps following the decision to forgo forming a pre-poll coalition. With poll results and input from other sources at their disposal, both sides are currently occupied with choosing viable candidates and creating campaign schedules. The BJD has two operational war rooms: one at the party headquarters, Sankha Bhawan, and the other at the home of party president naveen Patnaik, naveen Nivas.

The focal point of the 2024 elections is naveen Nivas, where the chief minister of odisha meets every day to discuss ideas with the party's senior brass. Developing specific plans for every parliamentary seat and the seven assembly divisions that comprise them is the main goal. Although Patnaik is the supreme commander, his reliable assistant VK Pandian is working with important party leaders to draft combat strategies tailored to each region.

The BJD is choosing mp and mla candidates in joint meetings with both parties, whereas the bjp has declared 86% of its lok sabha candidates and is currently concentrating on mla candidates. Both parties aggressively began their social media operations shortly after the failure of the partnership discussions. prime minister Narendra Modi is frequently included in bjp social media campaigns, along with phrases like "Ekaki ladhibu, sarakar gadhibu" (We will fight alone and establish the government).
