The most recent MCU film, Thunderbolts*, will be released in less than a week. Marvel Studios has released a new tv ad that includes some new footage and highlights some of the positive reviews the film has received after the social media embargo was removed.  An lengthy shot of Bob (Lewis Pullman) receiving fire from a heavily armed group opens the teaser. He then briefly hovers off the ground before exploding into the sky.

At this point, there doesn't appear to be a major reveal before the film opens in theaters, and the marketing has only featured Bob's costumed alter ego, Sentry/The Void, in silhouette. Although Thunderbolts* received overwhelmingly positive reviews on social media, when the complete review embargo is lifted tomorrow, we expect see a slightly more balanced opinion on the film. Be sure to return for our coverage.

New box office projections indicate that Thunderbolts* will earn between $63 million and $77 million domestically during its opening weekend, and we have received confirmation that the next MCU film will have a pretty regular runtime of two hours and six minutes. Given that Thunderbolts* is a rather unknown film with no significant A-list stars (the biggest names are by far Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan), this wouldn't be a bad outcome for a film with a (relatively) low budget of $180M (excluding additional costs).
