Following cm yogi Adityanath's request that authorities apply natural paint produced from cow excrement on the walls of government buildings throughout the state, a political dispute broke out in Uttar Pradesh. During an Animal Husbandry department review meeting on Sunday, yogi made the suggestion.

According to the meeting minutes, the chief minister gave staff instructions to use cow excrement to manufacture natural paint for government buildings in order to help the impoverished cow protection centers become self-sufficient.

"In a high-level meeting held at his official residence, the chief minister was evaluating the performance of the Dairy Development Department and the Animal Husbandry Department.  According to a release cited by ANI, the chief minister gave the order to take proactive measures to help the impoverished cow protection centers become self-sufficient.

"He said that natural paint made from cow dung should also be used in government buildings and the number of paint plants should be increased," according to the announcement.

Former chief minister and leader of the Samajwadi party (SP), Akhilesh Yadav, criticized the bjp government for its "Gobarnama" ploy.

IP Singh, another SP leader, claimed that bjp leaders are constantly thinking about "gobar."

"They don't discuss important topics...  "Observe the actions and progress of our neighbor, China," he said.

Others attacked the bjp, claiming that the cm appears to have unrestricted authority just because the people of Uttar Pradesh elected him to a second term.

They made fun of yogi by suggesting that he use cow manure to replace all of the tiles in the Chief Minister's office and residence.

BJP welcomed Yogi's proposal
