India carried out air strikes on terrorist bases in pakistan and Pakistan-occupied kashmir (POK) late on wednesday night. This action was taken under 'Operation Sindoor' and the special thing was that all three forces, Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, jointly participated in it. This was the first time after the 1971 war, when all three forces of india took action against pakistan together.
Entered 100 km inside and attacked
Some of the 9 bases in pakistan and POK on which india carried out air strikes are located at a distance of 100 km from the international border. Especially Bahawalpur, once known as the stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed, is located 100 km from the international border. Whereas, Muridke is located 30 km and Gulpur is located 35 km away.
Direct attack on terror bases
A total of 9 terrorist bases were targeted in this operation. These include Jaish-e-Mohammed's Bahawalpur headquarters and Lashkar-e-Taiba's Muridke hideout. According to the army, terrorist attacks in india were being planned from these places and these were targeted.
How did the attack happen?
All three armies used their state-of-the-art weapons in this operation. Kamikaze drones (Loitering Ammunition) were used, these are such weapons which directly hit the enemy's target and blast there. The army clarified that no base of the Pakistani army was attacked, only the terrorist bases were targeted.
Restrained but befitting reply
The indian army also said that this operation was completely restrained, precise and non-provocative. india worked very thoughtfully while choosing the target and attacked only the terrorist infrastructure. This step has been taken after the pahalgam terror attack, in which 25 indians and one Nepali citizen lost their lives.
PM Modi and NSA Doval took command
According to sources, prime minister Narendra Modi himself monitored the operation throughout the night. As soon as the operation was completed, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval gave complete information to US NSA and Foreign minister Marco Rubio. This also makes it clear that this time india is fully active on the political and diplomatic front as well.
