The statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs also said that the concerned officer has been directed to leave pakistan within 24 hours.


According to the Ministry of External Affairs, "The government of pakistan has declared a member of the indian High Commission in Islamabad as persona non grata for his involvement in activities contrary to his privileged status." The statement said the indian High Commissioner was summoned to the Ministry of External Affairs and informed about the decision.

The Foreign Ministry said that the officer was not behaving with the dignity of his diplomatic post in india, so he has been asked to leave the country within 24 hours. This action was taken by both india and pakistan amid increased tension after four days of military confrontation. India also issued a letter of objection to the Pakistani High Commissioner in New delhi over the activities of the officerThe Foreign Ministry did not give information about the allegations leveled against the Pakistani official, but according to sources, these allegations are related to a case of espionage, which is being investigated by the punjab Police.


What did the Foreign Ministry say in its statement

The Ministry of External Affairs said, "The government of india has declared a Pakistani official working in the pakistan High Commission in New delhi as persona non grata for his involvement in activities inappropriate to his official position in India." The statement said, "The official has been asked to leave india within 24 hours. A letter of objection was issued to the Charge d'Affaires of the pakistan High Commission in this regard today."


Punjab police is investigating the espionage case

Punjab police on sunday said it has arrested two people, including a woman, for their alleged involvement in espionage activities linked to a Pakistani official posted at the pakistan High Commission in Delhi. director General of police Gaurav Yadav said that based on credible intelligence, two people have been arrested for leaking sensitive information regarding the activities of the indian Army to Pakistan-based handlers.
