There is strong opposition in karnataka to the comments made by kamal haasan during the promotion of his film 'Thug Life'. The karnataka Film Publishers Association has warned that they will not allow the film to be released unless he apologizes. Kamal Haasan's new film 'Thug Life' will be released in theaters on june 5. The promotion work of the film 'Thug Life' is going on in full swing. In that regard, during the promotion of the film 'Thug Life' held in karnataka, kamal haasan said that kannada came from Tamil.

Political parties in karnataka have expressed strong opposition to this comment. There was also a problem with the release of Kamal's film Thug Life. A warning has been issued that if Kamal does not apologize, we will not allow the film Thug Life to be released. Regarding this, karnataka Film Publishers Association President K.V. chandrasekhar said, "This is a language-related matter. It is an emotional matter beyond business. Therefore, language is important to us. We should make those who have defamed our language realize what their mistake was. For this, kamal haasan should apologize. He should apologize by Monday. Even if he apologizes after that, we will not release Thug Life in Karnataka."
Karnataka Film Trade Council President Narasimhalu said, "Kamal Haasan's statement is not a cinema issue or question now. It is a matter of self-respect for the entire people of Karnataka. Therefore, if he does not apologize to the kannada people, we will not release the film. None of the distributors have come forward. The theater owners are also not ready to release this film. The only solution to this problem is for kamal haasan to apologize. It should happen by Monday." While karnataka Chief minister Siddaramaiah had already protested against Kamal's speech, Producers' Association President Umesh Rich said, "The state government is also taking note of this issue. kannada and culture minister Shivraj Thangataki has written a letter and said, 'If kamal haasan does not apologize, do not release the film.' We are bound by the minister's instructions. The Producers' Association will support any action or decision taken by the karnataka Film Trade Council and the state government in this matter," he said.
