Maharashtra chief minister devendra fadnavis announced that mumbai will host the inaugural mumbai Climate Week (MCW) from february 17 to 19, 2026. This event aims to position india as a leader in climate action and environmental sustainability. Organized by Project mumbai in partnership with the maharashtra Department of Environment and Climate Change and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), MCW will take place at the jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
Global Participation and Collaborative Efforts
Delegates from over 30 countries, including experts, researchers, and policymakers, are expected to participate in the conference. The event will focus on three core themes: food systems, energy transition, and urban resilience. Discussions will be approached from the perspectives of justice, innovation, and finance.
