New Speaker and Deputy Speaker Take Charge in tamil Nadu Assembly

Chennai: The second day of the tamil Nadu Legislative assembly session was held today with important developments taking place in the House. During the session, J.C.D. prabhakar formally assumed office as the Speaker of the tamil Nadu assembly, while ravi shankar was elected as the Deputy Speaker.

The newly elected Speaker received congratulations from members across party lines. Leaders and legislators extended their wishes, expressing confidence that the assembly proceedings would be conducted in a fair and democratic manner under the new leadership.

Premalatha Vijayakanth Stresses Importance of tamil Thai Vazhthu

During the proceedings, Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth emphasized that “Tamil Thai Vazhthu,” the traditional invocation song praising Mother tamil, should always be accorded the highest priority and respect in official functions and assembly events.

She stated that tamil language and culture represent the identity and pride of the people of tamil Nadu. Therefore, proper importance must be given to tamil Thai Vazhthu at all government and public events, she insisted.

Respect for tamil Language and Culture

Premalatha Vijayakanth further highlighted that honoring tamil Thai Vazhthu is not merely a ceremonial practice but also a reflection of the state’s cultural heritage and linguistic pride. She urged all political parties and government institutions to ensure that the song receives due prominence in every official gathering.

Her remarks received attention in the assembly as discussions continued on maintaining tamil traditions and values within government institutions.

Assembly Proceedings Continue

The assembly session continued with discussions on administrative matters and legislative business. The election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker marked an important step in the functioning of the newly convened House.
