Chennai: tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is refusing to release funds to the State government because the outcome of the elections is already clear.
Addressing the media, stalin criticized the Centre for what he described as “political bias” in financial allocations, claiming that the withholding of funds is not based on developmental needs but on electoral calculations. He argued that such delays adversely affect public welfare projects and essential schemes in tamil Nadu.
The chief minister emphasized that irrespective of election outcomes, governance and fund allocation should remain impartial, ensuring that development works in the State continue without disruption. He urged the Centre to act responsibly and release the necessary funds immediately for ongoing projects.
Political observers note that Stalin’s comments come amid growing tension between the State and the Centre over resource distribution, a recurring theme in tamil Nadu politics, especially during election seasons.
