Mahesh Bhatt compared Akshay to hollywood star tom Cruise, known for performing his own risky stunts.
He said, “If hollywood has tom Cruise, we have Akshay Kumar.”
Bhatt recalled witnessing a terrifying building-to-building leap stunt performed by Akshay.
The Angaaray Stunt
The scene required Akshay to jump from one building to another.
Bhatt initially tried to stop him, fearing the risk of losing his life.
Akshay insisted on doing it, assuring Bhatt, “Don’t worry, I’ll do it.”
Bhatt admitted he was too scared to watch, closing his eyes and moving away.
After a few tense seconds, the crowd erupted in applause as Akshay landed safely.
Bhatt said this stunt laid the foundation of Akshay’s fearless career.
Akshay on Doing His Own Stunts
Akshay shared that he has always considered himself a stuntman first and then an actor.
He expressed gratitude to the fight masters and stunt coordinators for ensuring safety.
On why he takes such risks, Akshay said:
