Special Status for Andhra Pradesh is turning out to be a mirage. With no unity among political parties in the state unlike those seen during Telangana agitation, it is becoming easy for Union Government led by PM Modi to deal with the meek protests in the state quite easily.
Even after Union Government made clear that special status willnot be accorded and announced special package instead, AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu heaped praises on special package and also thanked PM Modi for the same.
Opposition leader Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSRCP, declared bandh and then went into silent mode. Congress and other parties are left with no ideas. Pawan Kalyan, Jana Sena chief,presented a confused picture in his fight for special status during his meeting at Kakinada.
In the midst of all this, Union Ministers and local BJP leaders started promoting special package as something extraordinary. Now parody song on AP special status in youtube is becoming popular. The paroday song titled 'AP Special Status song' is after hit song' Sailaja Saijala' from super hit film Nenu Sailaja starring Ram and Keerthy Suresh.
Song appeared on Youtube Channel, Crazy Lazy Guys. The video released recently got viral and got more than 50000 views. Sarath Chandra, native of Kakinada who conceptualised the idea says “Despite promises made during electioneering, we are being ignored by the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister for a long time. As protests and bandhs have failed to move them, we thought of reaching out through the most popular way and came up with this song,”
The song asked PM Modi, CM Chandra Babu serious questions about special package and the promises they made during elections. The video also targeted Jagan and Pawan Kalyan. Pavan Sunil of Hyderabad choreographed and sang the song,while Kailash Rainuthala of Vijayawada penned the lyrics. Sarath and Rajkumar played AP youngsters.
