Joshimath Sinking: What's going on to save Joshimath?


Joshimath Town of uttarakhand has become the centre of discussion all over the world. Cracking ground, collapsing houses and bursting roads are showing a very frightening scene. The situation is such that the local people are worried about their future. Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has also filed a petition in the supreme court to save Joshimath. chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also reached joshimath today to know about the cracks in the houses and the condition of the spot. He has announced that the uttarakhand government will give Rs 4000 per month for house rent to the people who are displaced due to the joshimath Landslide.

The local people are living in fear of what will happen to their homes. cm Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to build a big rehabilitation centre. local people are saying that the reason for the such landslide is the hydroelectric project being built here. Till now, due to frequent landslides, several inches wide cracks have appeared in more than 700 houses, hotels and shops of Joshimath. Now National Disaster Response Force ie NDRF is also being deployed in Joshimath.

Joshimath's case reached supreme Court

A petition has been filed in the supreme court and an appeal has been made to help speed up the repair work in Joshimath. Along with this, it has also been said that there is a great danger to the people of joshimath and their lives, in which case immediate action should be taken to save their lives. This petition was filed on behalf of Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has demanded that the incident of land subsidence and explosion in joshimath be declared as a national calamity. Apart from this, NDMA should be deployed here to help the people of Joshimath.
