A remarkable Lord shiva idol from the 11th century was discovered, according to renowned researcher Thummala Devarao. The idol was discovered in the Sri Papahareshwara Swamy Devasthanam in the Dilawarpur Mandal village of Kadili.
Devarao acknowledged his surprise at discovering this unique artifact inside a temple's grounds in a press release. The idol shows Lord shiva performing a celestial dance while being supported by a drummer. Notably, Lord shiva is pictured using his right leg to drag down a man who is unconscious. According to Devarao, he has a Damarukam in one hand and a reassuring object in the other.

According to the researcher, temples built during the Kakatiya era are where one may frequently find such ancient idols. He thinks that having this idol there will give the shrine something special and extraordinary. Devarao further disclosed that statues of the Uma Maheshwara deities, in addition to the unique Lord shiva idol, were found on the temple grounds. He stated that Abbadi Rajeshwari also contributed to the discovery.
