It is being said that as major concession to the Seemandhra lobby, the Group of Ministers have reportedly recommended Hyderabad to be made a Union Territory for the 10 years when it also serves as the joint capital of the two states. The draft Telangana bill says Hyderabad will be administered by the Telangana governor with the help of two advisors. However, the Union Cabinet which is meeting today is expected to give clarity regarding the UT model for the joint capital. Sources say that this recommendation was among the many submitted to the GoM by Seemandhra ministers yesterday night. The GoM is said to have been given political clearance by Sonia to forward its recommendations for the approval at cabinet meeting on Friday. Though the decision to make Hyderabad a UT is sure to be opposed by Telangana parties like TRS, sources say KCR who is usual very vocal about denying this, reportedly didn't respond when media persons were asking him this when he spoke to them after meeting president and BJP chief and now the million dollar question is whether KCR has been convinced by Congress leadership regarding this move!
