BJP Parliament Member Hari Babu expresses his intention earlier to establish Vizag as capital for Andhra Pradesh. After seeing the latest developments and Chief Minister Commitment on capital in between Guntur and Vijayawada, Hari Babu wants new railway zone to the Vizag. Hari Babu wants not to repeat bad experience like in Hyderabad in building the new capital. He wants to decentralization of development in AP. Hari Babu not agrees with the opinion to establish new railway zone in and around Vijayawada. He wants Vizag for New Railway Zone. Hari Babu has approached Venkaiah Naidu and Railway Minister Sadananda Gowd in this regard. They summons Railway Board Chairman Arunedra Kumar and discussed the issue on this. So far, Vizag is in East Coast Division. There is a demand from long back to merge Vizag along with Gunthakal, Vijayawada and Guntur to form new Railway Zone. Now as per the latest BJP proposal new railway zone should be in Vizag as Headquarters. Existing Walter division should merge in newly formed Railway Zone. Still some trains travelled via Duwwada. After forming the new Railway Zone all trains will be travelled through Vizag.
