burning have been reported in the current crop harvesting season. The government claims that the number of

cases of stubble burning is less this year compared to last year.

Officials said that till Sunday, 714 cases of stubble burning have been reported. In an official statement here on

Monday, it was said that the state government is actively taking concrete steps for stubble management, which is

yielding positive results. According to the statement, There has been a significant reduction in the cases of

stubble burning in the state this year compared to last year. Only 714 cases of stubble burning have been

reported so far whereas 893 cases were reported during the same period in 2022.

Government took the issue of stubble burning seriously

In 2021, the number of stubble burning cases was much higher at 1,508, while paddy harvesting has been going

on in haryana for more than a month, the statement said. According to the statement, the haryana government

has taken the issue of stubble burning seriously and in collaboration with farmers has made significant progress

in reducing such cases.
