Accordingly Liquor shops will remain closed in haryana on january 22 in view of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of ram temple in Ayodhya. This announcement was made by haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar here on Monday. While talking to journalists on the sidelines of a program in Chandigarh, cm Khattar said that he has instructed the concerned department that liquor shops should remain closed on january 22. Many bharatiya janata party (BJP) ruled states, including madhya pradesh and Rajasthan, have already announced the closure of liquor shops on january 22. The 'Pran Pratishtha' of the idol of Ramlala in ram temple will take place on january 22. prime minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries will participate in it.

Meanwhile in view of the consecration ceremony being held in ram temple in ayodhya, all liquor shops in noida and Greater noida will remain closed on january 22. In this regard, gautam Buddha nagar district administration has issued an order on january 15. district Excise Officer Subodh Kumar Srivastava said that this order will also apply to the canteens of military and paramilitary forces. He said that this order was issued in view of the pran Pratishtha ceremony going to be held in ram temple in ayodhya on january 22. district Magistrate manish Kumar Verma said that in view of the pran Pratistha ceremony in ayodhya, local liquor, foreign liquor, beer, cannabis retail shops, premium retailers and model shops or bars, canteens of military and paramilitary forces located in the city will remain closed. He said that this order will also apply to wholesale licensees and other excise licensees located in the district. Verma said that strict action will be taken if the order is violated.

Moreover liquor shops and bars will remain closed on january 22 on the occasion of the consecration ceremony of ram temple in ayodhya in Uttarakhand. Excise Commissioner hari Chandra Semwal issued this order on Friday. It has been said in the order that liquor license holders in the state will not get any compensation for this bandh and along with this they cannot make any claim.
