For this, waiting for the general budget has now become a thing of the past.
Earlier the railway budget also used to be separate. There was a tradition of presenting the Railway Budget before the General Budget. New trains and new railway routes were announced only in the Railway Budget. Big projects related to railways were announced only in the railway budget. However, now there is no tradition of separate railway budget. Allocation for Railways is made in the general budget itself.
New trains are also announced by the government any time. Even big projects related to railways are no longer dependent on budget for announcement. Overall, now the budget neither has the same format nor has the same eagerness among the people.
