Voting ends in maharashtra, know which seat has the highest and least voting?

Voting for the first phase of lok sabha elections in maharashtra ended at 6 o'clock. Till 6 pm, 55.29 percent voting took place in five lok sabha seats in the state. 56.87 percent of voting took place in the Bhandara Gondia seat, 55.11 percent in Chandrapur, 66.27 percent in the Gadchiroli Chimur seat, and 49.07 percent in the nagpur seat. That means highest voting has been recorded in Gadchiroli and the lowest in the nagpur seat. At the same time, till 5 pm, the highest voting was recorded in Gadchiroli Chimur lok sabha seat. According to official figures, about 64 percent (64.95) voting took place on this seat. Voting was 52.38 percent in the Ramtek seat, 47.91 percent in the nagpur seat, 56.87 percent in the Bhandara-Gondia seat, and 55.11 percent in the Chandrapur seat.

Ramtek and Gadchiroli-Chimur are reserved seats. Whereas nagpur, Bhandara-Gondiya, and Chandrapur come under general seats. 97 candidates are trying their luck on all these five seats.

Figures till 3 o'clock

About 44.7 percent of the 95 lakh voters cast their votes till 3 pm on friday (April 19) in 5 lok sabha seats of Maharashtra. Till 3 pm, 45.88 percent of voting took place in Bhandara-Gondiya. With this, till 3 pm, 43.48 percent of voting took place in Chandrapur, 55.79 percent in Gadchiroli-Chimur, 38.43 percent in nagpur, and 40.10 percent in Ramtek. Till 3 pm, the average voting on five seats was about 44.73 percent. To avoid any technical glitch in the electronic voting machines being used in remote polling stations in Gadchiroli, three additional EVMs were sent by a helicopter to the Sironcha area of the district, another official said.

There are 95,54,667 voters in five lok sabha constituencies of the Vidarbha region. An election official said, that of these, 48,28,142 are male, 47,26,178 are female and 347 are transgender voters. Senior bjp leader and Union minister Nitin Gadkari is contesting elections for the third time in Nagpur. Here he has a direct contest with congress candidate Vikas Thackeray. This is considered a high-profile constituency, where the RSS headquarters is located. There are a total of 22,18,259 voters here, of which 11,10,840 are men, 11,07,197 are women and 222 are transgenders. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Union minister Nitin Gadkari, maharashtra Deputy cm Devendra Fadnavis, and punjab Governor banwarilal purohit were among those who voted in Nagpur. Voting for 43 other lok sabha seats in maharashtra will be held in four phases later this month and in May.
