Chennai: tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin on tuesday inaugurated an ultra-modern dairy plant constructed at a cost of 89.28 crore in Lathuvadi village of Namakkal district. The state-of-the-art facility has been established to strengthen milk production, processing, and distribution across the region.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the chief minister said the new dairy plant would play a vital role in improving the livelihoods of milk-producing farmers, ensuring fair procurement prices, and enhancing the overall capacity of the state’s dairy sector. The facility is equipped with advanced technology to maintain high standards of hygiene, quality control, and efficient processing.

The plant is expected to significantly boost milk handling capacity in Namakkal and nearby districts, benefiting thousands of dairy farmers and cooperative societies. It also aims to meet the growing demand for milk and milk products in urban and rural areas alike.

Senior government officials, representatives of the tamil Nadu Milk Producers’ Cooperative Federation, and local leaders were present at the event. The chief minister reiterated the government’s commitment to modernizing agricultural and allied sectors as part of its broader development agenda.

The inauguration of this dairy plant marks another important step in the state government’s efforts to promote rural development, employment generation, and sustainable growth in tamil Nadu.
