Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on saturday ordered framing of charges against bjp mp Yogendra Chandolia in a five-year-old case. bjp mp Chandolia is accused of attacking a government employee. In this case, Prasad nagar police station had registered an FIR against him in the year 2020. Now the Rouse Avenue court has framed charges under several sections of the IPC in this case. Now the next hearing of this case will be held on 22 May 2025.

Delhi's Rouse Avenue court has ordered framing of a charge against bjp mp Yogendra Chandolia under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 353 (use of criminal force to prevent a public servant from discharging his duty) and 356 of the IPC. However, the court has acquitted Yogendra Chandolia of the charges under Section 186 of the IPC (obstructing a public servant in the discharge of his duty). Actually, Chandolia is accused of attacking a government employee and obstructing his work.

Summons issued to complainant

Currently, the Rouse Avenue court has issued summons to the complainant in this case. Also, the next hearing of this case will be on May 22. Chandolia's lawyer told the court that the petition seeking a stay on the ongoing hearing in the lower court is to be heard in the delhi High court on May 19.

What is the matter?

In the year 2020, the police had registered an FIR against bjp leader Yogendra Chandolia for allegedly preventing a government employee from performing his duty and using force against him and snatching the mobile phone from the complainant Head Constable Rajkumar. Let us tell you that Yogendra Chandolia is a bharatiya janata party mp from North West Delhi.
