The temple administration has decided that anyone who knowingly or unknowingly carries a cell phone inside the tirupati kalahasti temple will be fined Rs 5000. There have been allegations that some of those who come to take cell phones inside the temple and use those cell phones to take videos and photos on the temple premises. Apart from this, the priests and staff working in the temple also carry cell phones and talk. Due to this, various undesirable incidents take place.Hence, anyone caught carrying a cell phone inside the temple will be fined Rs 5000 immediately. The temple administration said that if the fine is not paid, the cell phone will be confiscated. This is to avoid many undesirable incidents from happening.
