Where is gayatri Mantra taken from?

It is the 10th mantra of the 62nd Sukta of the third Mandal of Rigveda. It is also called Savitri Mantra, because it is dedicated to the sun God. Apart from Rigveda, it is also mentioned in Yajurveda, Samveda and Atharvaveda, although its most prominent and initial mention is in Rigveda itself. This mantra was composed by sage Vishwamitra and is dedicated to Goddess Gayatri, who is considered the mother of the Vedas.
