Tim Paine steps down from australia test Captain after texting scandal!!!

Tim Paine steps down from australia test captain on friday after his text messages are in rounds to a former female colleague. Tim Paine has been the captain since 2018 after steve smith who was banned for a year due to his sandpaper scandal against South Africa. After that Tim was retaining his captain role even after Steve Smith's return. Pat Cummins was the vice-captain for the Australian Team and he is the top opener and front runner to take over his next job. The selection Team may also consider Marnus Labuschagne.

                     In a press statement, Tim has stated that he is announcing his decision to step down from captain of the Australian cricket Team. He said that it is a very difficult decision for him. But he also said that is the right one for him and his family. Around four years ago, he was involved in an exchange of texts with a former colleague. He had fully participated in that investigation. There was no breach of the cricket code of conduct. He deeply regretted this incident till now. He apologizes for the hurt and pain that he has caused for his family and to the other party. He ended the statement that he will always be a committed member of the cricket team.
