ISSF World Cup: Sifat Kaur Samra won the bronze medal, and secured third place in women's 50m rifle three position

In the qualification, Sifat finished second with a total of 592 points in the three stages of kneeling, prone, and standing. Earlier this year, she won the gold medal at the world cup in Buenos Aires, which gave a great start to the season after a disappointing performance at the 2024 paris Olympics.

India's top shooter Sifat Kaur Samra performed brilliantly and won the bronze medal in the women's 50m rifle three-position event at the ISSF world cup on Thursday. 23-year-old Sifat, the current world record holder in the women's 50m rifle three position event, scored 453.1 points in the final of eight shooters. Norway's Jeanette Hegg Dusted won the gold medal with 466.9 points while Switzerland's Emily Jaggi won the silver medal with 464.8 points.

Emily was ninth in the qualification with 590 points but managed to make it to the final as two shooters in the top eight were shooting only for ranking points (RPO). In the qualification, Sifat finished second with a total of 592 points in the three stages of kneeling, prone, and standing. She won the gold medal at the world cup in Buenos Aires earlier this year, which marked a great start to the season after a disappointing performance at the 2024 paris Olympics.

France's Agathe Cecile Camille Girard also scored 592 in the qualification but topped the 10-point inner part (X) due to more shots. Switzerland's Audrey Gogniat finished third in the qualification. Among other Indians, Ashi Chaukse finished 11th in the qualification with 589 points while Anjum Moudgil finished 27th with 586 points. Shriyanka Sadangi finished 53rd with 582 points and Nischal was ranked 60th.
