Dileep is the main suspect in a criminal conspiracy case in which he is suspected of plotting to harm investigators working on the 2017 malayalam starlet rape case. 85 Days in Prison for Dileep
The investigators interrogated dileep and his director-friend Nadirsha for 14 hours in june 2017. He was detained on june 19 of that year and held at the Aluva sub-jail. He was released on bail on october 3, 2017, after his bail petition was repeatedly rejected. The investigating team designated dileep as the ninth accused in the 650-page criminal complaint. Meanwhile, a number of actors have shown their support for the survivor.
